A LOUISIANA CHRISTMAS TO REMEMBER
by Betst St. Amant
Morgan Tarpley Smith
Lenora Worth

This is a collection of three novellas written about three women who are all related, plus their indomitable 80-year-old Granny. I liked the unique way all three stories blended together. But, I especially liked Granny. I wish I had one to offer me insights. These are all three Christmas-themed contemporary Christian romances.

A favorite quote: "We're so blessed."

A Louisiana Snow: Mattie finds someone to love in the rare Louisiana Christmas snow.

Restoring Christmas: Jolene is painting a mural for the town and finds love.

A Christmas Reunion: Adale is a widow who learns that she can love again.

Highly recommended.

HEARTWARMING CHRISTMAS STORIES

Three Louisiana authors have joined to write a beautiful, interconnected book about one unique Louisiana Christmas. Each author writes about the same family, but they devote their book to one main character. These books explore broken hearts, broken lives, broken promises and also redemption, new chances for love, and a long-lost love found. This collaboration is one of my favorite holiday reads!

A trio of novellas tied together with family, friendship and romance. Set in a quaint Louisiana town, the main characters are brought together through their involvement in events in the weeks leading up to Christmas. The timeline for the stories overlap, making the book feel cohesive, like a regular novel.

The family of women who are featured in each tale are introduced in the first one, and there is a bit of a mystery involving the older women that concludes in the last story. I liked all of the family history and the interactions with the spunky grandmother. I would love to hang out with her and drink sweet tea. The French culture of the area was interesting, including delicious food descriptions that made me hungry.

"Maybe God wanted to restore her as much as she wanted to restore the church and town."
There were spiritual gems tucked into the tales as each person struggled with different issues, both past and present. I felt for Paul and Remy the most. Old grudges, misunderstandings and some prejudice made for a bumpy path to romance. Jolene was my favorite of the three women featured, and her struggle to create something unique was one I cheered at the end. I liked how the last story brought it all together.

An enjoyable light read perfect for the busy holidays. 4 stars

This is a beautifully written story by three authors, and as one story ended the next starts seamlessly!

We have a spunky Grandmother about to reach her 80th birthday, her daughter Adale, and her daughter Jolene and niece Mattie. These delightful, talented women will warm your heart, and they share their lives and thoughts with us.

These women love their town and are descendants of the founder, and now they are helping to restore the Chapel that was damaged in a hurricane.

This is a story of forgiveness, and it resonates throughout, and we are gifted some sweet love stories.

A very enjoyable read!

I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Barbour, and was not required to give a positive review
