In theory, fascinating, in that it goes into the various technical advances that were required in order for us to continue building into the sky, and what the implications are for those advances moving forward.

That said, it doesn't really wrap up in a satisfying way. Perhaps we're just in the middle of the process, like a book written in 1968 evaluating the space race, or possibly there is no specific endpoint, and so it is impossible to write a history.

Still, fun for the intuitives out there who like to have random knowledge to add to the noggin, and it has plenty of numbers that are interesting to have knocking around (e.g., humans can tolerate waiting 60 seconds, max, for an elevator; an hour total commuting time daily; or sway of several horizontal inches (when working) but much less as residents).… (plus d'informations)
