Not bad! I liked the artwork a lot, and many of the locations and fashions rightfully give off a regal air. I also love that the female lead, the current empress, is not a wimp. She speaks up for herself and knows manipulation when she sees it. Very cool and calm. In a lot of manhwas and mangas, the female leads are deferential to a fault and walked all over. That’s not the case here, and I love that. The empress’ husband turns to a dusty mess, and she never grovels for his love.

But her next suitor Heinrey is the quintessential love interest, but in an arguably bland way. He’s supposedly too good-looking, too smart, and way too in love with the empress. He doesn’t know her, so it had to be purely off of writing ability (yes, writing ability) and looks. I think he was the type attracted to strong women (I don’t think in the ‘step on me’ way, but who knows). Still, I didn’t dislike him. Naiver needed someone in her corner, and it was him.

Rashta was awful and raggedy. I think it was good characterization that, at first, you can’t tell if she’s naïvely oblivious or manipulative. But I do feel she's a bit of a misplaced anger.

Since the webtoon avoided some of the most egregious tropes like drawn out “miscommunication” and had male and female leads who were not stupid, I’ll give it some praise. This is enjoyable for what it is. Lovely artwork and an Empress who will not be put down.

When I look around for new graphic novels to read, I love to discover small treasures like the Remarried Empress. I really enjoyed this graphic novel : it is full of dramas with a very strong and charismatic heroine, Navier Ellie Trovi. Promised to the Emperor of the Eastern Empire since her childhood, she has become the most powerful woman of the Kingdom. Until the day the Emperor meets another woman and demands the divorce and of course the Empress’s answer is one that no one expected.

If you love historical Fantasy fiction, romance, politics and a strong royal intrigue, you will love the remarried Empress. Navier is a fantastic character. She totally steals the show. The art is grandiose and I personally really loved all these beautiful dresses. I enjoyed how magic is sprinkled here and there in the story, giving it a unique fairytale atmosphere. It finishes with a cliffhanger and I am very curious about what will happen in volume 2.… (plus d'informations)

***who sucked me in***
A reviewer on Goodreads! theburqaavenger➹ wrote a review that just made me want to read this NOW. Especially the words
a villain i can trash all i want
and while I'm just on episode 7 episode 73 I can say that's true!

I don't really like thrashing mistresses in stories because most of the time they are just trying to get by in a harsh world but this time...
*
Also the other villain is thrash and right in the beginning he gets put in his place so you know that while going and the road to that is very satisfying.

*Yes I was in the Supernatural fandom and yes we have a gif for ev-ry-thing. This webtoon just brought out that side of me!
