Critiques

Comprehensive but compact, well-writted by a forner Hawker draftsman, copious illustrations.

Seems to be aimed at schoolchildren to explain aspects of the world with the goal of helping them choose a career. Interesting history on early aviation and rocketry.

A small book, lots of images in black&white, almost Xerox fashion. The perspective in which was written is undoubtedly from a UK one. For instance there is no mention of the Macchi M 72 that got still has the world piston seaplane velocity record. So it is a nice addition for someone interested in seaplane history (it stops around the 70's), and has some interesting trivia mostly about UK related ones. It is not a comprehensive, world history of seaplanes.
