Wow did I love this book! I was having a pretty rough day, and I opened this gem of a book. The book is adorably written in rhyme, but the message is what hit home. It describes how a child grows up and the way they learn along the way. My favorite part of the book reads " the more you failed the harder you tried." Its such an inspiring story reminding the reader that sometimes life is hard and you will fail, but not to give up. We all need to reminded of how wonderful we truly are! ( )

It is sometimes hard for anyone to see the accomplishments they have made. This young girl is told by her father how amazing she is and how far she has come. It is good to hear words of encouragement and kind statements to gain assurance or motivation. Students and children to not always get those kind words at home, which is why my future career is the best path for me. In my classroom my students will hear these words every day. Children need this and they might only hear this from their teachers. It is a sad thing to say and hear but thats why I chose this career. ( )

In this book the author uses a little boy to so kids how they grow and become smart young people. This is a book that boost kids confidence, he says things like "you studied the sounds" and has a picture of a baby throwing thing on the floor. My kids reaction to this particular page was, he's making a mess. Another part they like was when he stated, " you knew how to listen when anyone spoke" I then asked the question to them do they listen and to whom they all said yes and to their thrashers. This is a good book to read to kids who feel like they aren't as smart as other kids to boost their confidence. ( )
