Heroine Bethany Marlow comes back to her old hometown (Treasure Creek, Alaska) to open her own wedding planning shop. While she is getting settled in, her old friend and ex-boss Amy James asks Bethany if she could lead a wilderness tour, since Bethany used to be a guide. As a favor to her friend, Bethany agrees. Anyway, she always enjoyed being a wilderness guide in the past. Bethany isn’t very happy to learn that her ex-boyfriend (rancher hero Nate McMann) has also been asked to lead the tour. (Nate broke up with Bethany almost ten years ago but he is still in love with her. He had found out that he couldn’t father children, and knowing Bethany’s wishes for a family, he let her go without telling her.) Now they are thrown together on a tour for five days in the Alaskan wilderness. Will their old feelings resurface again?

I really enjoyed this book. I loved the setting, in the Alaskan wilderness, and the guided tour. It was fun. l liked the two couples that went on the tour. A newlywed couple, and a couple with a cute little seven-year-old boy, Cody. Cody was quite a handful. It was nice seeing Bethany and Nate clearing up their misunderstandings and finally getting their happy-ever-after.

Another in the Alaska Brides series. This one centered around a couple that broke up 10 years ago, when she left town. Now she's back and the sparks are flying. I've read better stories by this author before. ( )
