At times, it reads like a stream of conscious writing from Rashid or like attending a speech he is giving after a long plane ride from another speech he has just given. But one cannot deny he is enthusiastic, energetic, yet thrives on "common sense". It can be hoakey, and just plain laughable when he describes how best to do hygiene (!?!)-but this man is a genius, but is not afraid to show how he sweats. I personally found his biography of how he was born, how he became interested in art, then engineering and design, got be to be a creature then interested in the world of every day design-expanding his practice to include hotels, salt and pepper shakers, fashion-this man has done it all and has more to do! A true visionary, I found him invigorating (and sometimes annoying), but he shows talent is not enough-you really have to perservere to show your true gifts. I also enjoyed some of his home design tips, some which I embrace (an easy flow, constant rearranging of furniture, lots of colour, embrace technology, no sharp corners, lots of sunlight, try to keep only the bed in the bedroom). A kind of yuppie boheme at times, I just loved the outline of his book. Sure, it will seem dated within a few years, but this guy is such an original. ( ) aucune critique | ajouter une critique
