How many cookies can one little girl eat before something strange begins to happen? Once there was a very happy little girl who loved cookies. She loved them so much that she wouldn't eat anything but cookies-cookies for breakfast, cookies for lunch, cookies for dinner. (Need we even mention dessert?) Her parents tried everything they could think of to get her to eat the right foods, but all she would eat were cookies Then one day, she began to change.… (plus d'informations)

Cookie is the story of a little girl who learns a lesson about eating nothing but cookies. Very cute story, cute illustrations. A tale that may persuade a small child to try a wider variety of foods. A story I will read to my daughter over and over again. ( )

"Cookie" is a great book for children, especially with the growing number of obese children. It's very important to start good eating habits young and I think this book may help with that. It is very well written and I really enjoyed it. The illustrations are very good and it was a quick read but got the message across loud and clear.

The author states that the book is geared toward children between the ages of 3 and 7
The children I had read the book were:
11 yr. old girl
9 yr. old boy
The both liked this book. ( )

"Once upon a time, not so long ago, there was a girl named Cookie. Well, actually, her name was Catherine Isabelle Marie Jenkins, but everyone just called her Cookie."

So begins this children's book about a little girl who only ate cookies. She ate them for every meal and refused to try anything else. Broccoli, spaghetti, or fish were definitely out. Her parents warned her that if she didn't stop with the cookies, she'd turn into one. She laughed. Until one day, she did.

Cookie is a fun book that I'm sure that kids and their parents will enjoy. The illustrations are very well done and fun, and the narrative is even better. Inside the playfulness of the book is a message of nutrition and the book opens the door to talk about nutrition with kids.
