While I can honestly say that creamed tuna with peas on toast does not sound like the most appetizing of choices, I don't believe that I could "hate it the most" like the other family members, especially Jack. However, I could see how much he truly hated it by the end of the story. It was a very cute and entertaining story with very traditional illustrations. I felt as if I had seen that similar style seen so many times from other stories of that era. ( ) Philip Stead's artwork is lots of fun to look at. It's multilayered and colorful, and it's fun to see what sort of multiple media he has used to construct his intricate illustrations. His collages of paint, newspaper, old stamps, wallpaper and maps made me spend several minutes with each page. This silly tale should appeal to any food-fussy kid who finds it entertaining to see a grownup being just as stubborn about a dish they despise. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Wild Man Jack is not easy to please when it comes to food, but when Mama Jane serves him his least favorite meal on Friday, he follows through on what he has been telling his children he would do all week, starting with screaming and complaining. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
