This book is the second book in a trilogy based on White Wolf's Role Playing Game Vampire the Requiem. It is the new World of Darkness and it is much darker and less forgiving. These books are a great taste for the games and enjoyable to read. Overall not bad, but the new World of Darkness is much closer to the 'Horror' genre than the old one ever was.

We meet Duce Carter, the current leader of the Carhenians ( A group of Vampires trying to buck the Status Quo). Duce seems to have everything start going wrong at the same time and is in the middle of the storm trying to find some shelter. His past rudely comes back into the forefront of his existence with a bang, which seems to chain react many other things. Can Duce pull himself out of this and straighten out the mess before the Prince finds it expedient to solve the whole thing permanently? ( )
