The book is a basic touch-and-feel, tame compared to many other board books of the same format. The main virtue is that it is bilingual. The text is basic labeling and counting, with pictures that depict the objects described and have minimal texture for the touch-and-feel. Not a bad book, and not a great one, but it does introduce a second language to very young readers in an interactive way. I want my girls to appreciate languages and be exposed to others beside English, so I have read this to them several times, but it is not a family favorite. ( )
