Lucy is saddened by the fact that she has to sell her late uncle's motorcycle, but her ex-husband left her in debt. Therefore, she just can't afford to keep it. A friend sets us a meeting with a potential buyer. That's when Lake enters the picture. He's a handsome Dom who recognizes Lucy as the submissive he wants. The only problem is that Lucy's ex left her with little self-esteem and a fear of trusting any man. Lake has to find a way to help her build trust in him. While doing that, the two are confronted with a mystery from her uncle's past which places Lucy in danger.I wavered on my rating for this book. Is it a 4, or is it really a 3.5? I decided I'd stick with the 4 since I did enjoy the story and the characters. I liked Lake because he is a Dom who really seems to care for Lucy. Yes, he punishes her, but it never feels offensive or abusive. I enjoyed Lucy's character because, even though she is a sub, she is still fiesty. She doesn't allow anyone to run roughshod over her.The main issue I had when reading the book was word choice, and I guess that's just a matter of preference. I didn't like the way Lake called Lucy "subbie," and I was happy to seem him change that to something more intimate. "Subbie" just sounds like a sandwich, not a person. The other word was "clitty." I just couldn't imagine a Dom using that word. It sounds so juvenile, and everytime he referred to Lucy's nether regions, that word just made me cringe. "Clit" would have been a much better choice.
