Taylor is in the middle of a storm of murder, manipulation, power, & control. On the case of a murdered woman sets events from the past and present colliding into a complex investigation which puts Taylor and Baldwin in the cross hairs of of two killers. Blindsiding her, the OPA chief wants her badge and kicked off the force. Juggling everything, Taylor may or may not live to the end of her case. ( ) This is the second of Ellison's books that I have read. I am getting the gist that her storytelling is more about the main character's life than it is about actual crime solving ala Janet Evanovich. The crimes that the books start out with have a really good premise and if she invested more time in fleshing out those parts of the story rather than focusing on the "life" of Taylor Jackson (I think that's her name, unfortunately even after two books I care so little about this character I have a hard time remembering her name even though I just finished this book about a half hour ago), these novels could be really excellent mystery/thrillers. That being said, this is an easy, fast read and I will more likely than not read another because they are a good palate cleanser for in between the more literary works I often read. reviewed on Book Sp(l)ot Reviews here (in a post reviewing Books 1-4 in the series) aucune critique | ajouter une critique

HTML: Revisit book three in JT Ellison's heart-racing, fan-favorite Taylor Jackson series! It was a murder made for TV: a trail of tiny bloody footprints. An innocent toddler playing beside her mother's bludgeoned body. Pretty young Corinne Wolff, seven months pregnant, brutally slain in her own home. Cameras and questions don't usually faze Nashville homicide lieutenant Taylor Jackson, but the media frenzy surrounding the Wolff case is particularly nasty...and thorough. When the seemingly model mommy is linked to an amateur porn website with underage actresses and unwitting players, the sharks begin to circle. The shock is magnified when an old adversary uses the sexy secret footage to implicate Taylor in a murder--an accusation that threatens her career, her reputation and her relationship. Both cases hinge on the evidence--real or manufactured--of crimes that go beyond passion, into the realm of obsessive vengeance and shocking betrayal. Just what the networks love. .Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
