"In the final Sandman tale, Morpheus makes the ultimate decision between change and death. As one journey for the Endless ends, another begins for the Lord of Dreams and his family, bringing with it a time of reflection and a sad celebration. It's a wake in which friends and loved ones, relatives and rivals, fleeting lovers and immortal enemies gather to pay their respsects and to mourn their loss."--… (plus d'informations)
Seven Endless - Seven Stories. Beautifully done, very fitting to the characters, though somewhat lost in comparison to the big whole of The Sandman. ( )
Didn't love it. There was some neat artwork (he collaborated with several different artists) but the stories mostly left me cold. (This is the opposite of what I complained about while reading volumes 1-10) I hated 15 Portraits of Despair, hated it to the point of anger. I liked the story about Delirium more than any of the others and enjoyed her appearances (as Delight or Delirium) in the few other stories that included her. The other stories were OK but didn't grab me like his stuff usually does. ( )
Better than many of the original Sandman numbers. Most are tight little thought provoking stories about each of the Endless. Assumes some Sandman prior knowledge to appreciate so don't start here. ( )
