When a new animal, a chameleon, comes into the house, Dudley doesn't like sharing the spotlight. An event changes Dudley's outlook on the new addition. ( ) Anna has a pet dog named Dudley. Anna and Dudley are very close until Anna brings home a baby chameleon named Pequito. When Pequito comes into the picture, Dudley becomes very jealous that Pequito is receiving all of the attention and he is receiving none. Pequito gets into a dangerous situation and Dudley saves Pequito. Dudley then realizes that he is happy because he looked after Pequito and received love from it. This can easily be related to a sibling jealousy issue that is often seen with young children having new siblings; they are no longer the center of attention and they can get easily jealous from this. This is a great book to show children that you shouldn't be jealous. Media: Acrylics Use: Working together, Loving everyone Critique: This is a good realistic fiction story because children need to start to be aware of others feelings even if they are animals. Dudley is a dynamic character because at the beginning he is very jealous and as the story goes on he begins to love everyone that Anna does. He must get over his jealousy and accept and stand up for others. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
