From her unique insider's perspective - as someone familiar with this world and the next - America's leading psychic tells us what to expect and how to prepare. Religious wars, global terrorism, genocide, ecological disaster: Today's world is a scary place. The Information Age has carried us into the Age of Anxiety, where everyone is on edge, wondering what is coming next. If the world really is going to end, what then? Browne, a psychic since age three, when her powers were first revealed, stays in close touch with her spirit guide, enabling her to answer our most pressing questions about today, tomorrow . . . and the end of days.… (plus d'informations)

Interesting, although she missed several predictions. I did notice at least two that were close to being right on the mark. I don’t agree with everything she believed, our beliefs being different. But still an interesting book to read. ( )

I enjoyed this book because it discusses the error of prophecies saying that the end of the world would on XXX. It also tells of disturbing cults, and how gullible people are.

The irony. All of Sylvia's predictions of 2010 turned out to be false. There is no cure for diabetes, no weird-ass pulley system birthing rooms, and no cubicle that lets out heat and vapor eliminating the common cold. So far, her 2011 predictions have not come to pass. Obama hasn't died of a heart-attack, and I seriously doubt the VP is going to declare war on Korea.

My mom loves Silvia Brown, and thats how I came to love her too. I really liked this book, and I love her other books too. I think all her books are the same: schoking, inspirational and honestly amazing. If you believe in psykiks (sorry if I spelled that wrong) you should read this book! It takes life to an all knew level. ( )

All psychics, even Sylvia Browne, fascinate me. If I didn’t have my own experience with the other side, I probably wouldn’t be a believer. Do I believe all psychic are on the up-and-up? No, and I don’t believe psychics are always accurate, especially when predicating the future. If you recall, this was the lady who predicted Gore would win against Bush. When the Supreme Court case decided in favor of George W. Bush, she still claimed he "really won." No. He. Didn't. Believe it or not, that’s wasn't the best of her blooper moments. The best came on the Montel Show.

A lady stood up and asked a question. What Browne didn’t know was this was the lady’s second time appearing. Obviously the lady’s future hadn’t unfolded in a timely manner and she so she was back to ask when exactly.

Browne’s response was to completely contradict what she had originally said to the lady. I don’t think the audience heard the lady say, “But you said….” I don’t think Browne, with her overblown ego, could hear it either. Viewers at home could.

So why do I get her books? Why do I watch her on Montel? (or did before the TV ban of 2008) Why do people standing in the grocery line read National Inquirer? No one actually believes it - okay maybe some of it. But even if we don't believe, it’s great entertainment.

Most of Browne’s books are common sense, self-help sort of stuff. You can't too much go adrift there. Even so, I actually got more out of reading John Edward’s books. But then again, he doesn’t see the future…and depending on who you talk to, neither does Sylvia Browne.

If you are a follower of Browne’s, there won’t be much new information. It’s the same stuff she has been spouting off on Montel. She carries us back in history to prophets and doomsday cults, trying to squash the unnecessary fears the world is ending. She digs deep, deep into the future of medicine - again, but doesn’t mention who was going to pay for these procedures. She does touch upon our future social structure...which might be my answer.

Sorry to be in the minority with my rating, but it just wasn’t her best work.
