This book is a great read-a-loud for children prek to 2nd grade. Maisy takes a walk through nature pointing out different things that she finds along the way. Along the side of each page there are items to “help Maisy find”. There are big colorful picture and there are also movable parts so you can look inside a flower, see a snail’s trail it leaves behind. I rate this book 5 out of 5 because it is a simple way to introduce nature, and the little discoveries you can make when walking outside, and the movable parts are unique and fun and will help interest the children. This lift the flap, popup book can be enjoyed on more than one level; first as a story, then as a seek and find where readers are given visual clues of what to look for through matching pictures. ( )
