I found this book to be awesome because any book that gives students ideas on how to be actively involved in their learning and the world around the always gets my vote. The activities are easy to do and child friendly. Great book for teaching students about how we feel. Most of the information is correct, although there are a couple of small errors. For instance, Vicki Cobb claims that "receptors get tired and no longer fire messages to the brain". Information presented in this way may help the students connect concepts to their previous knowledge but it also may give students an incorrect impression of how cells work. Still, it is a very good and informative book and to be honest I am not really sure how to present complex information in a simple manner without losing something. The illustrations are okay. They are interesting but don't really add anything extra. Feeling your way cover the sense of touch. Ranging from sensitivity, to pain, to the connections with others. I love the way Vikki Cobb examines scientific topics. She writes clearly and in words children can easily follow. Best of all she includes experimentation into the book, because what is science without experiments. The illustrations, while dependent on the text, serve as good visual orientation for the topics in the writing. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
