A fairly solid introduction to psychology, although I must confess my mind wandered rather a lot during certain chapters, where there were a lot of sentences that could not be parsed easily. In particular I skimmed a lot during the chapter on learning. However, the chapters on psycholinguistics, psychological disorders and intelligence were very interesting. The glossary was also very handy, as were the "Tips on Terms" sprinkled throughout the book. This is probably better for those who are more serious about studying psychology and who would actually use the tests and quizzes provided in the book to test your knowledge. Casual readers may lose interest eventually. ( )
