Someone recommended this series, some of it was a little twitch inducing but it's a story of a girl who gets a chance of private education due to a bequest and who ends up at a boarding school. She feels lonely because she's left friends behind. She's selected as a Zodiac Girl (how is a little unclear) and sets about finding her feet. She does make some missteps along the way but overall it's a voyage of discovery.

I was somewhat afraid that it was going to be a girl loses glasses and finds inner beauty, but actually she gets glasses during the course of the story! While some of the advice on the back is about outward appearance a lot of it is about accepting who you are and working with your strengths. ( )

This book about a girl named Gemma that has to go to a snotty boarding school with no friends. She tries to be popular but no one notices. Then she goes to a spa with her roomate and gets a makeover. Now everyone notices her but only for her looks.... ( )
