Harry Cat and Tucker Mouse try to find a permanent home for a young stray puppy they have befriended. This book is about a mouse and a cat who live in a drainpipe in New York City. One day Harry Cat brings a puppy into the drainpipe, and Tucker Mouse is not happy. At first he proved to be a nuisance, so Harry starts going out to look for someone who'd take care of the dog, which he named Huppy. Then Huppy gets pneumonia from being otside in a thunderstorm, so he has to stay in bed for a while. After he gets better, a dog named Max says he'd take care of Huppy for a while. During the winter, it snows in on the drainpipe, so Harry and Tucker have to stay inside until a snowplow clears up all the snow. Then Harry meets a Siamese cat named Miss Catherine. She likes to take walks with her owner, an old man named Mr. Smedely. After Miss Catherine falls into the Hudson River, Huppy saves her life, and then he gets to live in an apartment with miss Catherine and Mr. Smedely. I really loved reading this book. First of all, it's an old story, and I think that old stories are better than some of the new ones. My favorite character was Harry Cat, because he and I have a lot in common. Also, when Huppy had pneumonia, I couldn't believe how good of a doctor Tucker mouse was. To feel Huppy's fever, Tucker just ouched Huppy's nose to feel how hot it was. I thought it was funny how Huppy slid on his rear down hills during the winter for fun. This was a great book, and I hope to read the rest of the books in the series. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
