This cute pop-up book introduces young children to dinosaur diversity in an entertaining fashion. The dinosaur pop-ups are skillfully presented and large enough to take up a two page spread (a full 21 inches). The dinos are cartoonishly rendered (as shown on the cover), and presented in full color. As each page is opened, the great beasts pop out at the reader... legs move, heads erect on long necks, and tails sweep across the page. The accompanying text is simple and uses opposites to describe the dinosaurs on each page... (e.g., dinosaurs are "short; long; weak; strong; sweet; grumpy; spiky; lumpy"...) This book is idea for kids in early grade school, who will improve their reading skills while being entertained. ( ) This book is a book I would like to have in my classroom library for a few different reasons. First, since it is a pop up book, the pictures pop out and make them come to life more. Second, I love stories where the text rhyme. Third, it uses opposites like "fat and skinny" and the illustrations match the text. The main idea of the story is to compare dinosaurs within rhyme. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
