It talks about animals, and why animals appear in certain colors. Many resources are included in this book that are useful as references for the students if they want to do further research. I would use this book for all ages in elementary school and I would introduce it in different ways according to mu students ages. “Living Color” by Steve Jenkins shows a series of different animals and their colors. Some animals change colors to camouflage themselves, while other animals stay the same color all the time. Each animals is categorized under a color and has a description of themselves. This would be a great book to introduce a science lesson about animals or their colors. Steve Jenkins uses colors to categorize and give reasons animals have particular colors. Each color gets two to four pages full of facts about why different animals are different colors, for example, the yellow mongoose's yellowish tan fur allows it to blend in with its surroundings. The art is very familiar if you have read other Steve Jenkins books, as he has his own style that is definitely recognizable. He uses different textures, papers, and fabrics to transform his illustrations into lifelike animals. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
