Ethan Snow is a former CIA agent, working for the Phoenix Brotherhood and investigating a powerful organization called The Covenant. Most of their doings, including their membership lists, are secret, but what the Brotherhood does know is that The Covenant is involved in domestic terrorism. Ethan believes that he has reached a dead end in trying to penetrate their cloak of secrecy when he is given a woman’s name and address, one last person who might be able to help him in his vital search for answers. He jets off to find her, no questions asked, only to find that he has unwittingly sought the help of a so-called psychic. A psychic who explains to him that she is out the business.
