Dork is the slow going collection of Evan Dorkin's one-off and semi-serialized comics and strips. Though he's probably known mostly for his comic Milk and Cheese, Evan's best work is in the pages of Dork where he lets loose his own brand of Mad magazine style parody and gets some of his inner demons out on paper. Including strips such as Fisher Price theatre, the Murder Family, and his reoccurring devil hand puppet. One of the things I love about his style is that he tends to cover his pages with hidden puns and jokes, so it actually takes a bit to get through it all, even the inside front covers of the comics are jammed with jokes written around the copyright info. He's a bit self-loathing and neurotic at times, but it sure does make for some fun comics. ( )
