This is not a profoundly scholarly work, however, Ray Stedman makes God's redemtive purpose come alive. He weaves each book of the Bible into an wonderful tapastry in which God' purpose, promise, judgement and grace are beautifully detailed. I highly recommend this book as one of the important books in the library of every Christian.

It is very very close to the content of this book. They are excellent as we have come to expect from the late and deeply loved Ray Stedman. ( )

An excellent and readable overview of the Scriptures. If you are new at studying the Bible - or even if you're an old hand at it - you will appreciate the engaging insight and explanations in this book. I recommend reading it while reading through your Bible in a year! ( )
