I wanted to reread them but I've already reread them at least twice, and I have so many other books I to read that I didn't want to take the time to reread a book I've already read ... So I figured the next best thing to do would be to get another Michael Slade book and see if it's as good as Headhunter and Primal Scream. I am so happy to report that this book did not let down! It is not as graphic as Headhunter (or Primal Scream) but it is certainly not for the faint of heart. I will definitely be keeping this book to reread in the future. I think it'll be just as good the second time -- without a doubt! Adrianne I remember reading other books by Slade [Headhunter], and enjoying them. I picked this one up with great anticipation. It was an OK read. I like the character, Zinc Chandler, but the story got bogged down a bit a times. The climax was too wordy and it seems written to allow Zinc to find the killer he sought. Good enough for a summer read. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

The game begins in Seattle, where a murdered woman is found with one leg missing. Then, in Vancouver, a corpse is found with both legs missing. The clue that binds these horrific crimes together is a game of “Hangman” crudely drawn at each location--painted in the victims’ blood. Both victims, it seems, were jurors on a controversial case years ago, in which a man was sentenced to death--by hanging. Two cops on both sides of the border--Canadian Detective Zinc Chandler and American Detective Maddy Thorne--are up against a killer whose every move means death. To stop him, they must solve the riddle of the hangman--before the madman makes his final, murderous move…and wins the game. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

The plot has a number of satisfying twists, plus one really big one that I didn't see coming, but the ending left me wanting.
I've read a number of Michael Slade books in the past and have to say that this one wasn't "his" best. ( )
