Wheeler does a good job at bring Laura Ingalls wilder’s story to life. She gives a brief history for each stage of Laura’s life. She adds a few pictures to help tell Laura’s story. The way Wheeler write Laura’s biography draws the reader in to Laura’s life, and makes the read to find out more about Laura and read Laura’s books. Personal reflection: I enjoyed reading Laura Ingalls Wilder’s biography. It made me want to reread her books that I read as a child. I would like to have my class read this biography in order for them to see that no matter how insignificant we may think our lives are, we can be an inspiration to others. Extension Ideas: I will have the Students write an autobiography about themselves. I would have the student read one of Laura’s books and write or tell how the story was like her biography. Laura Ingalls Wilder is written by Jill C. Wheeler. This book is about the life story of her and the adventures she has had throughout her life as a young child and an adult. This story is really interesting I knew of the show but I did not know that she wrote a lot of books all about her life experiences. I would love to read this book and read other books that she wrote herself about her life. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

Personal Reaction
I loved this story. The first thing I thought about was the show “Little House On the Prairie” of course. There is quite a difference between the book and the show as always.
