This book by far is my favorite book about your health! I am a newly diagnosed prediabetic. After my lab results came back, my doctor's assistant called to say that I needed to start taking Vitamin D supplements. They recommended taking a pill to control my A1C. I refused any medication until I tried to lower my levels on my own. I researched to find more about my diagnosis and how to make changes to my diet. With that being said, within about two months or so, I was down 8 pounds (I was amazed that I had that to lose) and was feeling much "lively" again. Having this book would have made things much easier when trying to change my eating habits and understanding my diagnostics. There are several things that I love about the book. First, the author has included charts and diagrams to give you more information. Next, it is written in terms that someone who is not in the medical field can understand. The author deserves 10 stars just for that! Finally, examples of what you eat or do to boost up any deficiencies were given. This is like a go-to book to learn more about your health.
