Dr Kimberly King has just landed her dream job in the Financial Audit office of the FBI. Her first task is to join a team of diehard investigators looking into some shady share trade dealings. Mystery company, Emerald Investments, has been providing its exclusive clientele with red-hot stock information for years. Who is behind Emerald Investments? Surely this person or persons must have an inside track. Are they journalists? TV personalities? Someone working for a large investment firm? And what about their clients? Who is the week link amongst the odd collective? Will it be the Dentist? The Account? The Real Estate Salesman? Surely it couldn't be the bus boy working at one of New York's finest dining establishments? "The Dish Dog" by Peter Davidson is a non-stop rollercoaster of edge-of-your-seat suspense, surprise twists and a dash of humour, set against the backdrop of New York city life. The characters are interesting, and believable and will take you along with them for the ride. The book is easy to read, not too heavy and not too light. It is sure to raise a smile as the ending leaves the story just where you want it to. The Dish Dog by Peter Davidson This story starts out with Harley and he's just a bus boy at one of the most elite restaurants in NYC. Story is so descriptive in details to not only surroundings, but routines as well. He has the ability to hear things from the whole room picking up on many conversations at once. He is able to learn about tips of what stocks to buy. From there the story also follows Dr. Kimberly King who's now working for the FBI in forensic dept. They are on a trail of investments that appear to have bene leaked about when they will rise to the top of markets. Love understanding the sequences that take place as she and her team track down who the main person is that is getting all the funds from the leaks that occur. Love haring how the culprit disguises their life and is able to leave when they need to. Couldn't put this book down, really draws you in as you know this could happen and how it could be accomplished. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

We have all heard the adage “loose lips sink ships.” One night a man drinking heavily tells an intriguing story of how his brother-in-law is making a fortune on the stock market. This information makes its way to the FBI who soon realize that someone is operating a massive insider trading scheme making millions of dollars. Whomever it is has access to information about a variety of major corporations before the information is made available to the public.
Dr. Kimberly King “KK” has just recently joined the FBI’s Fraud Prevention team as a forensics accountant and is assigned to oversee the investigation of this investment scheme. KK is a superhero! At one point she is told, “That’s the first time I’ve seen a suspect in an investigation so grateful that they hugged an FBI agent.” I really enjoyed the descriptions of her methodically gathering information and analyzing it. I could just see the wheels turning in her head and could feel the tension increasing as they closed in on the perpetrator.
I found myself rooting for the perpetrator of the scheme. It was brilliant! The cat-and-mouse chase was tense and exhilarating. Surprising twists and the author’s signature touch of humor round out this well-written. stimulating book. ( )
