I really loved this book i think this series was such standout for me and i loved all the books. This one really focused on female repotive rights and had a nice balance between plot and steam and the side characters. Nellie really worked for me as main character and I loved seeing the characers form the previous books! I would love a spin off series focused on her extended family!! Soild read!! ( ) I really loved this book i think this series was such standout for me and i loved all the books. This one really focused on female repotive rights and had a nice balance between plot and steam and the side characters. Nellie really worked for me as main character and I loved seeing the characers form the previous books! I would love a spin off series focused on her extended family!! Soild read!! Loved the ending to this series. I loved Lockwood all the way along and how he was with Nellie was everything. Loved Nellie too, especially her activism, although her surprise that after telling him to go he does was annoying. Honey, you keep pushing people away, eventually they will go. A lovely scene near the end shows us all 4 of the friends together, which ties a lovely bow on the whole thing. Nellie is a wildcat! Despite the strict confines expected of women in New York Society, she is her own person - advocating for women’s rights. The Duke of Lockwood is in dire straits and doing what many landed aristocrats did when they needed money: looking for an American heiress. And he has every intention of finding the perfect duchess: money and a spotless reputation. But then he meets Nellie and she turns his world upside down. They clearly have chemistry and they find it increasingly hard to stay away from each other. But is their chemistry more? Is it enough to overcome all the obstacles in their way? Shupe has done a great job - I was invested in Nellie and Lockwood. I loved how Nellie was such a supporter of women’s rights and I just adored her father (not the usual father in these books, that is for sure!) A great historical romance - steamy and fun! aucune critique | ajouter une critique
