There isn’t a time when I read a book by this author that I don’t devour the entire thing in one go. Every book is emotionally charged and has the readers in their feelings and this one I knew while reading the ones prior it would take the very top and it did not disappoint. Shiloh has suffered from a past that still haunts her and controls so much of her life. No matter how far she has come she still feels like she lets everyone down and she wants more than anything her own independence, yet her family who are loving to keep her in a bubble. The family still sees Shiloh at the age of ten and all she endured not the grown woman she is now, so they smother her they say for her safety, but it is out of their own guilt and fears. The one place and the one man that she shouldn’t even be around according to society is the one that she finds her only solace. Ramsey has a haunting past as well and has tried to live surrounded by his horses and only keeping to himself. He is a horse whisperer that can take a broken down and treated cruelly animal and change their existence. He is a gentle giant that looks and comes off gruff, but he deep down has a heart of gold just his past has jaded him to being around people. Ramsey and Shiloh have this connection that runs soul deep and even when Ramsey doesn’t feel deserving, or Shiloh is timid they know it is something beyond words that they can’t keep fighting. With her past still coming from the grave to torment her can Ramsey keep her safe while she still finds her freedom. Will Shiloh find her peace and happiness that she so much deserves? This book is emotional and very suspenseful that the twists were very unexpected for me, I couldn’t stop reading. These characters show us that sometimes love is so much more than words could ever describe and chasing your freedom starts with one foot in front of the other. ( )

I think this was a def my favorite of the whole series. I really loved both main characters and also really enjoyed seeing all the side characters and also loved the found family element that devlped in this read. It also was such a quick read!! and def want to read the series connected to it! ( )
