At this point, I'm skimming through these books just trying to get to the end. This is the 5th in the series, and so far everything that has happened could have been put in one well-structured book. Each one of these reads like a stream-of-consciousness narrative. Each battle is basically the exact same thing and I find myself bored out of my mind, until the last couple sentences when the author drops some major cliffhanger.
I commend the author on their use of cliffhangers to keep people invested, but maybe they should invest a little more time in the rest of the book so it stands on its own. (
