Chargement... Funny Feelingspar Tarah Dewitt
![]() Aucun Actuellement, il n'y a pas de discussions au sujet de ce livre. I am blown away by how much I adored this book. I found myself constantly giggling and smiling to myself, quickly rushing to pick it up and read more. I think Tarah did a great job keeping readers engaged and connected to the characters. The dual POV expands the relationship between the two, as well as the flashbacks, continues to build the tension you want the characters to address. I think that there were parts the moved too slow or move to fast, there were areas that I wished were a tad more fluid, with that being said, the pace of the relationship and the developing of feelings between Fee and Myer felt natural and relatable. Finally, the presence of an umbrella has never made me audibly gasp in my life until now. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
When falling in love is the punchline . . . Farley Jones is being forced to date Meyer Harrigan, the man she has come to love, in order to make all of her stand-up dreams come true. It's agony-a tragedy, even. In lieu of flowers, please send cash . . . Meyer and his daughter Hazel have been everything to her since they came into her life three years ago. So, all joking aside, the stakes are especially high when it's not only her career, but both of those relationships on the line. A former stand-up star himself, Meyer has been vital to the trajectory of her career since he began managing her . . . Since he became her closest and most treasured friend, in the process. This friendship is the only reason why, when the biggest opportunity of Farley's career includes thrusting him back into the spotlight to stir up publicity, he agrees-in spite of his grumpiness, his protectiveness over Hazel, and his disdain for public attention. It doesn't take long for their act to bring all those other funny feelings out into the open, and, like most matters of the heart, it quickly begins to feel like anything but a joke. I had a bit of trouble getting into this one, and I blame the audio narrators (the female narrator was terrible at men's voices and vice versa). Once I got past that, I enjoyed this fun rom-com which was not weighed down by overdone angst and conflict (there was some but it wasn't stupidly drawn out). Farley and Meyer were easy to root for. I think I would have liked it even more in print without the distraction of annoying narrators.
