Not a fan of the emojis in text. Some of the plot moves did not make perfect sensre to me. Still, cute enough and an easy read. ( ) This book was an absolute delight! Super sweet and just what I needed. The main characters feel so full and complete, I feel like I understood their thoughts so well and cared for both of them so strongly. I loved the writing style of switching between narrators and it felt so right to this story. Super super cute! What a fun, if somewhat predictable, story! Of course, the predictableness of romance stories is why we like them in the first place. It's just a matter of watching how she gets the girl! I really enjoyed the different personalities of the two main characters. I liked how their relationships with their moms were so different, and how it showed that opposites do attract, because there's some similarities as well. I did not like Natalie from the very start. I'm glad Alex was able to stand up to her at the end. What a wonderful book. A cute story, I'm really loving this new change of YA books that address the trauma we get and the bad habits we make and makes us take a look at that as a reader and not just address that shit in YA books like they've done for years. As an adult trying to dig out of their own baggage, I really appreciate that new trend. That being said the story is cute, but I feel like this all happening in a month or 3 months is a little ridiculous and should have been given a longer time frame... especially with love declarations attached. But still a good story. this was totally charming. i really really loved that these characters were each dealing with their own stuff, in a way that really made them both fully formed and truly explained all of their actions and motivations. it made the story actually more about them getting over their own stuff than about getting together. although of course that was well done, too. i'm glad i didn't realize that one of these authors was part of a team that wrote a book i hated (all this time), because i wouldn't have picked it up if i'd made that connection. and this really is so well done. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

HTML:She's All That meets What If It's Us in this New York Times bestselling hate-to-love YA romantic comedy from the coauthor of Five Feet Apart Rachael Lippincott and debut writer Alyson Derrick. Alex Blackwood is a little bit headstrong, with a dash of chaos and a whole lot of flirt. She knows how to get the girl. Keeping her on the other hand...not so much. Molly Parker has everything in her life totally in control, except for her complete awkwardness with just about anyone besides her mom. She knows she's in love with the impossibly cool Cora Myers. She just...hasn't actually talked to her yet. Alex and Molly don't belong on the same planet, let alone the same college campus. But when Alex, fresh off a bad (but hopefully not permanent) breakup, discovers Molly's hidden crush as their paths cross the night before classes start, they realize they might have a common interest after all. Because maybe if Alex volunteers to help Molly learn how to get her dream girl to fall for her, she can prove to her ex that she's not a selfish flirt. That she's ready for an actual commitment. And while Alex is the last person Molly would ever think she could trust, she can't deny Alex knows what she's doing with girls, unlike her. As the two embark on their five-step plans to get their girls to fall for them, though, they both begin to wonder if maybe they're the ones falling...for each other.
