Book one of "Friday" bundles issues 1-3 and offers the first printed volume of the comic previously only available on the artist's Panel Syndicate website.

Even though it's labeled "mature", Friday reads like a "young adult" book, featuring young protagonists and focusing as much on teen romance as on the mystery that is developing.

The art is clear and vibrant, and fits the teenage mystery well.

As the collection only contains three issues and a lot of background is covered, we are shown no more than the opening act of the mystery at heart of this series.
While the tale certainly seems promising, I felt there was not enough material to warrant publication in a "collection" just yet. ( )

I'm intrigued by this teen detective homage with its rich character study, moody tone, and gloomy setting, but I'm frustrated by its shortness and the sense that there is barely enough time for some throat clearing, I'm going to wait until the story is complete and then read it all at one shot. ( )
