Americans Bonnie and Dakota answer a help wanted ad and head off to the Scottish Highlands to run a coffee shop. Once there Bonnie runs into local handyman Rowan MacGregor who also happens to be grumpy and so this rom com starts. It was an enjoyable listen and being a Meghan Quinn it had its steamy moments. 3.5* ( ) 4.2 stars One of the things I love about this author is her humor. I never know when she is going to make me laugh out loud. Having been lucky enough to have been to Scotland (it is my favorite country still) I was excited to see how this author would put her spin on it. It was everything that I have come to love from this author.I loved the characters, the setting, and the story. I do wish that a few things had been fleshed out more, but still, it was a good book. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
"A single woman and her best friend move to the Scottish Highlands to manage a local coffee shop. They encounter friendly townspeople, and sparks fly with the rugged local handyman."
Freshly fired from her third job in a row, Bonnie St. James stumbles upon a "help wanted" post to run a coffee shop in the Scottish Highlands. Bonnie and her friend Dakota apply on a whim-- and get the job. When they arrive in the tiny idyllic town of Corsekelly, they instantly fall for the gorgeous Highland landscape and friendly townspeople. But Bonnie finds a less-than-warm welcome in Rowan MacGregor, the local handyman. Busy wrestling his own demons, Rowan is in no mood to deal with the quirky American. Path cross, insults fly ... and sparks ignite. Can Bonnie and Rowan build on their similarities to help each other, or will their passionate tempers fling them apart? -- adapted from back cover.
