If you were a seat filler, who would you want to be seated next to? Channing Tatum. If you're out there, I'll be your date to any awards show you want. I'll fill the seat next to you any day. Back to this book... First book I've read by Sariah Wilson for me (and then I found out how many other books she's written), and I'm absolutely sold. Juliet is helping her friend by filling in as a seat filler - the people that sit in seats at award shows so the audience always looks full... And she ends up sat next to her childhood crush... and that turns into a disaster, but not in the way you'd think... and from there, it's really just a fabulous book! A bit of a slow-burn, but oh so good! I actually listened to this on audio thanks to @BrilliancePublishing and I loved the narrator. She totally sucked me into this world... Noah is just a heartthrob and between Sariah's writing ability and the Kate Marcin's narration... I was swooning... Anyway, it's out April 27th and you don't want to miss it! #TheSeatFiller #SariahWilson #ThisReadingNurse #BrilliancePublishing Sariah Wilson is one of those authors who I am amazed it took me so long to discover. I love her characters and her stories. For me she is an insta-purchase. I find her writing to be realistic and engaging and her characters to be endearing, frustrating, wonderful, and delightful all at once. I would recommend all of her books. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
Dog groomer Juliet was asked to be a seat filler at an awards show and ended up next to the famous Noah Douglas, the movie heartthrob and actor of her dreams. Noah expresses romantic interest in Juliet, but due to her fear of kissing, she refuses him. Instead, she agrees to be friends. They shouldn't have anything in common, but they seem to form a connection that starts to feel a lot like love. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

This book is very weird.
I love the premise of seat filler meets star and falls in love but everything else here was strange. First the whole Adam Driver thing was so over done. I don’t even know that much about him but I knew that a lot of this was real detail from his life and because he’s like a pretty aggressively private star it seemed really more creepy than it should have. Too many details.
The whole “empowered woman” striking out on her own to be ……a dog groomer….was a real choice. I mean I guess that was there as a plot device but it was weird.
The kissing thing was interesting to me at first but then when I did the math on her age it seemed a lot more silly. She seemed both too young and too old for some aspects of this storyline. Also I want to do some timeline study here because I feel like this is very reminiscent of the books Kiss Quotient and The Roommate with the whole teaching somebody how to do the most basic sexual stuff.
I finished it so two stars but yeah can’t really recommend this. Would totally want to read a better seat filler book though! ( )
