I have to mention here, that there are probably far more darker and kinkier reads out there. This was mild, compared to those
Now, those of you who would like to know at least something, and since there's no blurb here's a little info for you (the bare minimum):
!!!!!!!!!!SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Aiden (15) and Connor (18) are brothers, their parents are divorced, and Aiden lives with their Mom, while Connor with their Dad. Connor came home though before he starts college.
One day Aiden gets home from school bloody, muddy and beaten, and Connor takes care of him (dumps him in the bathtub). Aiden can't really hide, how his body reacts to his brothers closeness.
Connor knows that he's brother is a weirdo, he can't talk normally to people, and therefore has no friends, on top of that he's gay. Their mother doesn't really care about him, so there's no one to give him some love. When he notices Aiden's attention on him, he decides that he will be the one, who gives him that love he so desperately craves.
And then... "This story contains erotic situations between brothers not yet of a legal age. If it
is illegal for you to read this, or you just think it's yucky, please leave now."
There. You had your warning. (Find out the rest by reading the book) :D
My review:
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!DOUBLE SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since it's my first ever book in this topic, I couldn't exactly compare it to anything.
I usually avoid these kind of books, like the plague. I thought I would be repulsed, disgusted. So why did I even think about reading it you might ask. .... Good f*** question. I don't have an answer for that. The author's warning wasn't enough to deter me, so I dived in headfirst.
The first 4-5 chapters are very erotic. There's no BDSM, but it's kinky. The author clearly has a fixation with blowjobs, and it started to be a bit too much. I mean, there's a lot of positions where you can practice it, but do we have to see them all?! Just when I had enough, they moved on. The whole thing was freaking hot though. :P
When I say kinky, I mean it. There's worshipping mostly, and there is some kind of dom-sub behavior involved. But there was one act I did not wanted to see, or hear about it, or even think about it, I wouldn't even call it a sexual act. Thankfully it was brief. There. Forgotten. :) Well, actually it happened twice, but... *shrug*
Aiden. He's so weird, but adorable, and so free, and funny and later on it turned out he has mental illness, which I did not notice, I thought he was just weird.
Connor. He's intentions were fuzzy for me at first. He acted out of love that's for sure, but he was selfish and degrading at the beginning. By the end of the book, it was clear that he gave more of himself than he possibly could. Still, I did not like him early on.
It ends with a HEA I guess. Depends on how you look at it. What's supposed to be the HEA in this scenario? I'm happy with how it turned out eventually.
About the writing:
I was so engrossed in the story, I did not realize until chapter 4 that while Connor's POV is in first person, Aiden's side of the story is in third person, it's just further confirms that Aiden is a bit mental.
Overall I liked this book very much. My favorite thing about it is, that yet again I found something that made me experience a range of emotions, in a way that I didn't feel overwhelmed. And the author was capable of keeping the balance between the negative and positive feelings, one didn't outweigh the other. ( )
