First published as a hardback in 2005, WILD HORSE DIARIES is coming in May 2007 as a B-format paperback. From a helicopter skimming above the trees in the outback of Western Australia, Lizzie Spender looked out and saw wild horses galloping below. She was told she could take her pick of the mob, but she would have to catch the horse and train it. This offer would fulfil her dream of a lifetime, but there were obstacles at every turn. And as Lizzie discovered, finding the horse again was only the start of the story. Lizzie has added an epilogue that brings her story up to date. She writes about training the horses, and her battle with cancer. She was diagnosed on the same day that she rode her horse for the first time. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |

You start to think Spender is name-dropping then realise that, as daughter of Stephen Spender, wife of Barry Humphries... she is probably entitled to.
Anyway, this is the interesting story of how she fell in love with the wild horses of the Australian outback and determined to use her aunt's legacy to catch and tame one. Will she catch sight of the beautiful chestnut again? Will the horses be damaged in the muster?
Lots of technical information as well as local colour and personal touches make this an interesting and informative book. I'd love to know what happened next! ( )
