This short story was very enjoyable! Philip is an opera singer and Andrew is his best friend. A month prior to the start of the book, Philip kissed Andrew and they haven't spoken since that night. Philip is distraught and lost. Andrew returns and we see the two men talk and reconnect, and break through misunderstandings. Once the guys begin talking, the sadness, fear, and miscommunication turns to sweetness and contentment. I loved it.
One of my favorite parts of the book is that the angst was not overwhelming. We start the book after the month of worrying and sadness has passed. We see the brief reunion, and then we get to see what caused their separation. I was able to feel the emotion, loss, and frustration for Philip without having the major angst with every page turned. I liked that a lot. It felt like I got to focus more on the guys and their chemistry when they did actually get together.
I was so glad to read this book. (
