The events still feel vastly too big for the place in the timeline, but the story in and of itself is pretty good. The character voices remain adequate-but-not-great, there's inexplicably still no Chinese (though after umpteen volumes, we're treated to a sing'e 'gorram', at least), and there are still a handful of major characters left alive that are nowhere to be seen in the ensuing film. But the story finally sets up something for Serenity: Book staying behind, and the founding of Haven, as well as the crew's relationship to the place. It doesn't feel quite organic, but the mere fact of it having some connective tissue to the main canon is a big positive. And, more importantly, there are some nice emotional beats that actually land, and some chuckleworthy moments of dialogue and character interaction. As finales go, not too shabby. "The stage is set for the final battle as the first ever Firefly event concludes, with Sheriff Mal Reynolds - yeah, he's still getting used to it too - making a choice that may cost him those he loves most, whether he knows it or not... Shocking losses lead to stunning decisions as Mal and the crew of Serenity must face the consequences of their choices in war against the Blue Sun Corporation. The 'Verse is changing in ways no one ever expected - and a new chapter of Firefly begins here."--Provided by publisher. Aucune description trouvée dans une bibliothèque |
