More than anything this chronicles the changing face of racism. As racist thought is overcome in each instance rather than racism being eradicated or even lessened, racism just morphs chameleon like into a 'new' form and the fight begins again.
Still strides have been gained. Despite the history of racist ignorance and interference, strides have been made in some cases walking right over racists and that is a powerful feeling.
Mostly this chronicles what doesn't work: which strategies to discard and which to expand. I don't see 100% eye to eye with Kendi. Still I will be digesting this book and modifying my views and activism as a result, for some years possibly decades to come.
