The kids are back at Grace Field House. After book 19 they had taken over almost anything, but Peter Ratari was still left. Now it was time for his defeat. But should he die? Moral questions abound in this series, and I loved how the character Emma was always the moral compass. She could find if not the good in everyone, the reason for people to be the way they are and how that influences their actions. And it is this special sight that helps the series wrap un in such an exciting, hopeful and loving way. I am a bit sad to part ways with this crew after 3 months and 20 books. It has been a long but wonderful ride. Now I just have to see the anime. I have heard it’s fantastic. I hope it lives up to the books, because this series was wonderful. In Volume 20, the last volume, of the Promised Neverland everything gets wrapped up. The children get to go to the human side of earth and live their lives there. But Emma didn’t make it with the rest of the group. The children know she’s there, somewhere, and decide they will spend their time looking for her. I do have a bit of mixed feelings with the ending, but I still kept it at 5 stars because I loved the series so much. The ending had potential but ended a bit rushed in my opinion. Totally get it though, this series had many chapters with many arcs and it still could have gone on for quite awhile but the story was about the children escaping and they did. I did miss Ray this last volume. He was there, but then again, kind of wasn’t? He was a main side character who helped Emma and was super important in figuring everything out and it walked us through how and everything, but near the end, he just seemed to be there to shout out answers or agree with Emma. And Norman became this villain-like character but didn’t fully... I would have loved to see more either inside his head or even the battles he had of “switching back to the good side”. Overall, the series ended on a happy note, which, again, after everything these children went through, it should! I just feel like if there was one more volume, it could have been stretched out just a bit more and included more details on stuff. aucune critique | ajouter une critique
