Loved being able to see the cast of [b:Seashells, Spells & Caramels|36206773|Seashells, Spells & Caramels (Spells & Caramels, #1)|Erin Johnson|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1504899200l/36206773._SY75_.jpg|57837457] again, working a mystery with this cast of characters as well. They all played off each other so well. Made me have so many swoon moments over sass and snark. Erin did a fantastic job of having Jolene solve the bakery contest mystery in a true to her fashion manner, while Imogen and gang got up to their insane antics over the books second mystery. Loved it to pieces!
This book brings Jolene's story full circle, while I was a little disappointed at her choice in the end I also would have been sad had it gone the other way. She is a one of a kind magical person, and I am so sad to part ways with her adventures.
The commentary on shifter prejudices is strong in this book, and I was surprised by how both mysteries were solved. I so hope this isn't the last we hear from the people living on this magical island.
If you love cozies that deal with learning to love yourself for who you are, and finding love & trust in unexpected places, you're going to love this series. ( )
