( ) buukluvr | Feb 14, 2023 | This was an interesting thriller told from multiple POV of the wives in a polygamist relationship. I liked the shade that was thrown on each of the wives throughout the book, each time it would leave you wondering if this wife was the killer. I found the book a little bit long but I am also not sure how you could have pared down the story without losing integral information. A non-conformist LDS has three wives, and is found murdered. Evidence points to the murderer being one of his wives. They all have motives, and murky backstories, but who did it?
The book is told in rotating perspective of the three wives which mainly works well, but does create overlap and repetition. Due to the narrators' voices, the writing isn't particularly sophisticated, and there are numerous small editing errors throughout.
That being said, this is a unique story, with an interesting plot. If you like murder mysteries, or just want something different, try out this book! (
