Aucun Actuellement, il n'y a pas de discussions au sujet de ce livre. One Summer Day welcomes readers to Texas and Prosperity Ranch. Small towns, cowboys, and the town’s founding family are the focus of the first book in a brand new series from Heather B. Moore. Macie may be young but she’s grown up quick, beaten down by life. It’s no wonder when she hangs around Holt, who is everything her ex-husband wasn’t, she’s drawn to his kindness, honorability, and respectfulness. Responsible to a fault, Holt Prosper sat back and allowed his brother to steal the girl. Now she’s living in his parents’ house with her little girl, and he’s not sure what to do. What happened between her and her ex? This book is packed with plot lines. Many are resolved some will most likely continue through the entire series. A fresh take on second chance romance, One Summer Day is a delightful and fast read that made me smile and sigh in contentment. Disclosure statement: I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book and was not required to write a positive review. All opinions are my own. aucune critique | ajouter une critique

I was born and raised in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and I know that Prosper, Texas is in North Texas and nowhere near San Antonio, like it is portrayed in the book. I know this is a trivial fact, considering this is a work of fiction, but it really bothered me. There is also "cliche" Texas twang that no Texan I've ever known has used in their language and reading it was quite cringy to me. Holt is sweet enough but something about Macie was bothersome to me, and the entire time I'm reading I'm trying to put my finger on why, and never did quite figure it out.
I had such high hopes for this series, but I am sad to say that it was not an enjoyable start for me. The writing itself was top notch and I could see this series holding promise, so I am not giving up just yet, but it is by far my least favorite novel by this author to date. (
