Never buy this book new, instead buy it USED, OR you can do what I did and try to find an audiobook version read by a YouTuber to soften the blow of this horribly written story. Sadly the audiobook version I listened to (which had the reader break down at a certain unmentionable scene, and they even called their grandma to restore their sanity and bring some level of wholesomeness into their lives), no longer seems to be up on YouTube, and it was by no means official in the first place (keep in mind that Onision has a tendency to abuse the YouTube copyright system). It was still a good reading though. And it was trying to look for the audiobook version of this story again and being unable to find it that made me want to add this to my LibraryThing and write a review.

The story had a lot of potential to be good if it were written by an author who wasn't obsessed with always making himself the main character, as without the context of the author always writing himself as the main character, the story of a child who may or may not be being stalked by aliens that are also god sounds interesting - and seeing that mystery play out through the eyes of a child developing weird powers he's trying to get a grip on by himself would be interesting and potentially nostalgic if written by another writer. Sadly it's not... Sadly this story is written by a YouTuber with so much controversy attached to them, that Chris Hansen probed an investigation into them and their partner.

This is one of those stories where you like the *idea* of, but the execution of the idea by this author will just disappoint you and potentially trigger you since UNFORTUNATELY there's also a scene of child sexual assault in this story, and it's treated like a good thing... It's non-violent at least, but it's still treated like a coming of age where a literal child just had his first time, as if it wasn't a crime. And that's extra sickening if you know all of the drama and controversy surrounding Onision. As a result, the writer should not be financially supported. Can the ideas of the story be reworked and explored by others? Yes, I highly encourage that. But as is, this is a highly controversial and poorly written book, written only as a way for it's egotistical author to profit off of their fanbase, and to get off on the idea of being a small child with god powers. Someone kindly explain how it got worse book three after two books written? Like I need legit answers. Who let this happen? What happened? I can't believe book three is worse than book one or two and not in the normal worse, but the worse all around. Typos outnumber pages.

I can't speak so I need to let someone else for me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiJfGq-iyp0 ( )
