This sleepover story is about warmth and security. As Bearsie Bear was getting ready to go to bed, he hears a knock at the door. One by one, Moosie Moose, Cowsie Cow, Piggie Pig, Foxie Fox, Goosie Goose, and lastly, Porkie Porcupine all trail in for a warn nights sleep. Through repetition, they all say goodnight to each other each time and realize Porkie Porcupine is lonely and wants to sleep in the bed with them. Porkie Porcupine promises to be very careful and not stick anyone , so they let him join back in bed. ( )

Bearsie Bear was going to sleep when Moosie Moose came over. It was cold and he wanted in to sleep. Then Cowsie Cow, Piggie Pig, Foxie Fox, Goosie Goose, Porkie Porcupine each came by to sleep over. Porkie made them all leave because of his spines but they came back. Bearsie let them all back in and told them he was making pancakes for breakfast.

One cold night, when Bearsie Bear decideds to go to sleep, he hears a knock on the door. It was Moosie Moose, who was wanting to sleep over because he was too cold. Bearsie Bear decided to let him in, and they got ready for bed. Soon there was another knock with another animal wanting in. This continually happened until there were seven animals in bed, all sound asleep!

This is a delightful bedtime story that young children will love to hear and read. The story begins with Bearsie Bear answering a knock on his door in the middle of a cold, snowy night. It's Moosie Moose, and he wants to sleep over! Before Bearsie Bear knows it, he has six guests sleeping over. This is a great book that does a lot with sounds and alliteration. Beginning readers will learn about similar letter sounds, and can enjoy predicting what happens next in the story.

This is a fun bedtime story about Bearsie Bear's surprise sleepover. It's a cold night and Bearsie Bear hears a knock at her door. It is Moosie Moose followed by six other animals who are welcomed inside to escape the cold weather. Young children will love the costant repetition and simplistic pictures.
