* I got this book for review for the publisher for my honest thoughts*

I really loved this 90 romp and found it to the the prefect summer read. This read features some of my favorite elements including flash from the back friendship, summer jobs, mystery elements and a one location. I thought this book tackled self discovery so much. I really loved how this book tackled 90 elements. I felt this book was a fun read. It was a book that made me smile. This book is def one i would rec if you like morgan matson and or Kasie west. ( )

This book was so cute and nostalgic, and just what I needed after the last book I read which was soul crushing. ( )

Giveaway win - Thanks to Goodreads for letting me read and review this fun little read.

After reading this book, I feel kind of like I took a trip back in time for some 90s nostalgia. It does pretty good with the 90s atmosphere in the Mall and everywhere throughout the story.

It reminded me kind of about Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants type of story with the friendship between Cassie and her ex-best friend and how they reconnect and have a fun adventure with a treasure hunt through the mall that summer while Cassie figures things out for herself about herself, life and everything.

Cassie and Troy had a relationship and a plan for the future together and then the plans changed when they went to start working their summer jobs at the Mall together and Troy breaks up with Cassie then she gets fired from her job and has to go find another job and figure things out again.

It also reminded me of the summer and the time after you graduate High School before you figure things out when you usually are finding yourself, growing up and learning more about being an adult, going off to college and those types of things.

It was a quick, fun read with some depth to it as well as light-heartedness, but there were some parts in it that I didn't really like and that bothered me some with how they portrayed things with girls/guys and relationships and such.

Anyway, for the most part, for a quick, decently fun read, this will likely be a good one for the summer for others to read. ( )

This was a blast TO the past. I may have been 23 the summer of 1991 and an 80s kid but this brought back all the feels! The Mall, the place where we hung out every day, worked, flirted...it was the scene. It was well written, with some of the snappiest dialogue from Drea (it felt like being at home back in NY) and her fabulous Italian mother (I grew up with friends who’s moms were like hers) The story focuses on Cassie trying to move on from heartbreak only to find that she needs to rediscover herself at a cost, dealing with her parents breakup, discovering what her true values/beliefs are as well as preparing to leave for college. I liked her summer romance with “Sam Goody” but would have liked his background fleshed out a little more. The treasure hunt was a little far fetched but a fun romp through the Mall. It was a quick read and enjoyable. ( )
